19 hours, 600 miles later / Best California Coast Road Trip
Yup you read it right, 19 hours on one of the most beautiful roads ever!
I can't tell you how much I enjoyed this ride but I can say this, do it! Grab a friend or two and drive and explore. I did the drive alone because I was leaving a family vacation in San Diego! I started from Oceanside, CA and ended my journey in Monterey where I watched a beautiful sunset to end my trip. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be to drive alone, but man did I do a lot of thinking. I've honestly never been happier. The whole trip couldn't have gone any more perfectly. The weather was just right, almost no traffic in the city, and the scenery was out of this world. Truly one of the best days of my entire life. Anyways, I'll let you continue on and see the images, enjoy :).
5:00 am - Left @welkresortsandiego where my family stayed for the week. If you are looking for a place to go away to with the family, this place is a great choice.
6:00 am - Laguna beach. The sunrise at the beach was stunning.
8:00 am - Huntington Beach was so quiet in the morning. All you see is a bunch of joggers and few people just wandering around the beach. I've never seen a popular location so empty, it was pretty nice to be honest.
11:00 am to 1 pm. The next few places were near Malibu and one of the beaches I stopped by was called Zuma beach. Definitely a great beach and just the whole area is a place you can take a significant other ;)
3:00 pm - Pismo State Beach. Two words: HELLA WINDY. It was the kind of windy where the sand hurts when it hits you. But it's probably a nice place to hang out on a really good day.
4:00 pm - road to Big Sur. Next stop, McWay falls and the so called super famous Bixby Bridge, trust me there was nothing exciting about it lol but McWay falls was pretty awesome. 10/10
6:00 pm - McWay Falls. I can't believe it was my first time here, I had so many chances to drive down to the water fall but never actually did. Beautiful. That's all that can be said. Go to this place!!! It's totally worth it!
12:30 a.m. the next day - I've made it home. What can I say, I've pretty much covered most of the Californian coast. It's been a dream of mine and I finally did it. I'm definitely coming back with a plus one, but this time, I'm heading south, down to Santa Monica. The rest of LA is cool but it's too touristy and not much for a solo adventurist. But overall, I would recommend the drive. You won't be disappointed and you'll keep a smile on your face the whole time. Truly the best day of my life.
That is all. Thanks for checking out my "nature photography" lol see you next time;)
