Barn Style Summer Wedding in Petaluma, CA

Ive realized the more weddings I do, the more of a friendship I build with each of my couple, the more I lookup to each and every one of them.

It’s pretty great. You never expect to randomly get an email from someone, have them trust you shooting their most important day of their lives and after pretty much just become best friends. If you don’t screw up of course haha.

But nowadays every single couple for me is a little inspiration to me.

These two are no expectation.

As soon as a I had a conversation with both of them, things just clicked instantly and I knew it was going to be a blast photographing their wedding. And it was. It was definitely a special day to be part of and it was an honor. I have nothing but the best wishes for these two and I will forever lookup to them.

So I hope you guys enjoy this wedding cause I had a blast taking photos of it!

California Coast Engagement Shoot / Sonoma Coast, CA

From nursing school to getting married in a few days. Moving from Texas to California. It has been a journey for these two and its not stopping them.

I had a pleasure in shooting these two while they were in california. We went to a beautiful coastal area north of San Francisco and had a super fun time and the wedding is going to be in a few days and thats going to be an amazing time! Cant wait!

Goofy & Wild Engagement Session / Mt Shasta, CA

As a Photographer, you’re always expected to have the best locations, the perfect weather and the ideal conditions. Welp, that never happens, and when it does, it’s rare. Let me tell you about those unexpected engagement session that got all of us worried but ended the day on a positive note nonetheless.

This is Fatima & Dereck, we planned on having their engagement session in the beautiful Mt Shasta. We were supposed to take a hike up to Heart Lake, a lovely hike that overlooks a heart shaped lake. Cute right? Welp… The whole area was still snowed in as you can see. But that didn’t stop us. Before it started hailing we got some SICK shots on the frozen lake. Sketchy. Yes. But that’s the fun of it right? lol

As we finished up the first location, it started hailing HARD, finished just in time.

From that point on we had a mix of rain and clouds and we were just playing and chasing the weather. But after everything, all the rain and all, it turned out to be 100% worth it. They killed their shoot and the photos turned out AMAZING!

Moments like this will get you stressed out, it will feel a little overwhelming but sometimes you just have to roll with the punches and work with what you get. You never know, the end results might turn out pretty awesome.

That being said, I’m super excited for their wedding, it’s going to be a pretty badass day :)

Sand dune Engagement Shoot / Nevada

Big Sur Engagement Session / Big Sur, CA

When you think of Big Sur, you think of big cliffs with incredible views of the ocean. You think of big waves roaring into the cliffside. You think of the bright orange and yellow sunset that always ends an amazing day. These reasons are precisely why Alexandra & Traxel chose to do their engagement photos in Monterey and Big Sur. They are both truly sweet and genuine people. I absolutely cannot wait for their wedding this fall.

P.S. Thank you for an amazing sea food dinner, I now know the BEST seafood place in Monterey!

I’ll share if you ask ;)
